1. Taking legislative measures to ensure human rights protection of the victims of trafficking, especially members of the most sensitive and vulnerable groups – women, adolescents and children.

  1. Consideration of the matter concerning the elaboration of relevant amendments and changes to the `Law on Advertisement~ aimed at prohibiting the publication of the advertisements. by labour agencies, international acquaintance bureaus and mediatory firms without special licenses

 

 

  1. Increasing cooperation with the Council of Europe’s countries in order to harmonize legislation and promote its implementation

The Council of Europe created the AD HOC Committee on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (CAHTEH)

Ms. Beridze is a member of this Committee and she will take participation in drafting of the European Convention   

2. Prevention of trafficking

 

  1. Conducting information campaigns to raise public awareness about the specific circumstances that may cause trafficking. While conducting these campaigns to stress that trafficking in human beings means not only trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation but also coercion of any kind, slavery or the state similar to slavery      

 

 

  1. Conducting information campaigns against sex-tourism. To lobby forbidding non-licensed labour agencies and international acquaintance bureaus to publish advertisements      

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Dissemination of information on health risks associated with sexual exploitation

 

 

 

  1. Ensuring that school children be informed about  the matters related to  sexual exploitation, violence and trafficking

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Establishing strict control over art groups and ensembles traveling abroad to avoid getting undesired persons into them

 

 

 

  1. Announcing a competition for playwrights and scenario writers to create works literature  on the base of which films and plays on the problem  of trafficking may be created  

 

 

 

 

  1. Organizing special trainings on trafficking for judges, social workers, teachers, health, diplomat, consular, customs and State Department’s of the Defense of the State Border of Georgia personnel, policemen and journalists

3. Assistance to the Victims of Trafficking

 

  1. Raising of international funds and resources to create safe shelters and receptions for the victims of trafficking. Consideration of legislative proposals on creation of a special   fund to assist the victims of trafficking at the expense of   resources received by confiscation of the property of traffickers 

 

 

  1. Elaboration of social, psychological, health rehabilitation and  legal aid programs to assist the victims of trafficking

 

 

 

  1. Encouragement and support of the establishment of a network of NGOs involved in assistance to the victims of trafficking

5. Systematic monitoring of implemented work 

1. Conducting monitoring of the implementation of requirements of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, , the Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocol against Trafficking in Human Beings and other human rights instruments

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Regular updating of trafficking incidents; monitoring of criminal cases initiated in connection with  trafficking

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Collecting information on the implemented activities and analyzing the data annually (government bodies committed to comply with the Plan submit to the Commission on Elaboration of State Policy on Women’s Advancement annual report on measures taken to implement the Action Plan)
